One thing I know I’m getting when I read a story by this author, is a feel good romance, with relatable characters and backdrops that make me jealous I live in the city and not in the smaller towns they do.

This story is no exception.

Poppy, as a popular romance novelist, believes in love. In happily ever afters, prince charming’s, and everything in between. She believes so much that she uproots her life at the last moment believing in there being something more for her out there than the relationship she found herself in before the book begins.

And find it she does, but its definitely not an easy road to her own happily ever after. She’s got to break down the walls of our hero Cooper’s own heartbreak, especially with the time limit she has with only a few weeks in the cove, to finish her next (and final in her series) book.

Cooper, for all his more sweeter and nicer moments, is a hard nut to crack because of the past. He’s been hurt, and so his view of love, especially the love Poppy writes of, is practically non-existent. So much so that it causes him to say some unkind things as it pertains to her writing, that almost made me want to smack him around as much as Poppy did.

Well, when she was denying her attraction to the man.

I connected easily with Poppy and her own struggle with being a writer of love and the very status of her own love life, but there was an instance I felt that I couldn’t connect to toward the end. It didn’t take too much away from the story for me, but at the end of the day, with the way Cooper acted, the things that were said and what happened, I just expected there to be a little something more from Poppy’s end. Making Cooper work for it and not just take him back so easily.

I did connect with Cooper, but again it waned a little toward the end with his actions.

In the end though, I definitely got the payoff I was after for these two and I enjoyed it much like I have all the other books I’ve had the pleasure of reading by this author.

I think if you’re a fan of romance or even of this author, you should give this one a shot. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much, if not more than I did.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read this before official release.
