Title: Amore Part 1
Author: Bella Jewel
Genre: Mafia Romance
Release Date: September 19, 2016

“It is not love that defines us, Julietta. It is love that destroys us.”

I’m just a normal girl.
Or so you would think.
I’ve never thought of myself as anything different.
Until I met him.
He doesn’t think I’m normal.
He thinks I’m special.
Special enough to be in his life.
Special enough to enter his world.
Special enough for his bed.
Rafael Lencioni. Dangerous. Beautiful. Terrifying.
My story is the one that’s never told.
I’m not the daughter.
I’m not the wife.
I’m not a sister or a mother.
I'm not his enemy and I'm not his friend.
I’m not who you think I am.
So for me to fit into their world, I have to do something I never wanted in my life.
Something I would have frowned upon until I met him.
I have to change who I am.
I have to shut down my heart.
I have to accept my place.
My body belongs to him.
My heart isn’t permitted to.
Those are his rules.
But rules were made to be broken…right?

There are some authors that I will pick up, regardless of the genre they write, because I just know they’re going to deliver one hell of a story.

This is what happened with Bella Jewel and this little gem known asAmore.

With this story, she takes you down a different road than she has in previous outings, but she also brings along with that change, a lot of the things about her stories that I’ve come to love most over the years.

For instance, her style of writing.

The seemingly effortless way she brings everything together so that it feels as though you’ve merely blinked and it’s over. Which is what happened to me here. So swept up was I in this world, in these characters and the positions they find themselves, along with the mystery surrounding just who it was screwing with Rafael, that I literally blinked and I was being nailed with one hell of a cliff-hanger and it was over. Fast paced, edge of your seat style writing causes that. But not so fast paced that I felt at any given point reading that I missed anything.

Questions were brought to light, some answers were given, while more questions were raised. My interest so piqued, I’m actually still on the edge of my seat wondering how all of these bombshells, for both Julietta andRafael are going to play out.

Which brings me to what else drew me to this story, same as it has with her other works in the past.

I have zero experience with the mafia, even less than zero with how their day to day lives are, or their relationships in and around that, but I will say that much like her biker series’ before this one, it all rang very true. It was as though all the research she said she did before even pushing forward with this story did indeed pay off and it came off very believable to me, despite it being a fictional endeavor. I connected to Julietta even though I will admit to wanting to smack the crap out of her with my kindle a time or two (or ten). I was a lot like her best friend here. Rafael played much the same. A very powerful and confident man, but also a very conflicted one. And the two of them together, well it fit, even without some of the “connections” they had. They were off the charts in terms of steamy and played off each other well when they weren’t acting so eerily similar. They really are a couple that I think once this entire story wraps up, can and will withstand the test of time.

And Vincent. Can I just say that for the minimal page time he got, *sighs* he sure as hell made an impression. I’m going to turn into a bit of a greedy reader/author/blogger here and say that I would kill to have a book with him in it. I get the feeling that where Rafael is drenched in the more serious side of things, Vincent would be funny. So get on it author lady lol

All in all, she took a chance delving into a story of this nature and from where I’m standing, she did one hell of a job with it. This book had edge of your seat suspense, romance, humor and a steam level pretty on par with her previous works. Basically it had everything I want from a Bella Jewel book and more. So if you’re looking for your next great escape, look no further.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read this story before its official release. The journey for both these characters one I’m glad I took the chance on. Bring on the next book!
