I received this ARC of Wicked Reunion by Michelle A. Valentine through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review.
Like with all new authors that I take a chance reading their book, I get somewhat anxious for fear of not relating to it.  This author did not disappoint me in the least.  I give it a 4 star review.

This is about London and Jared who were high school sweethearts and best friends. They were un separable and loved each other something fierce but then tragedy struck that left Jared devastated.  He went on a self-destructive journey that led him to a career change and a voluntary disappearance for nearly 5 years.  London never truly got over and forgot about Jared.  She tried to move on as best as she could and she ended up in the arms of an unexpected companion.  London is a very mature, goal oriented fighter.  She's a great character who doesn't dwell in self-pity.  She doesn't string anyone along which a very positive facet to this story.
Jared returns after all this time and is faced with some decisions to what's best for everyone involved.  He never got over London and wants to rekindle their love and a shot at a second chance.  Things are about to get real messy.  One will have to step aside and who will it be?

This story can be heart breaking at times and can also be quite frustrating.  There are twists and turns with surprise revelations.  Just the right amount of intriguing to keep it a great page turner.  I loved the characters but they're times I didn't care too much for Jared’s self-centred behaviour.

The sole reason that I didn't give it a 5 star is because there was a bit of a fine line that may or not have been crossed which left me feeling a bit conflicted.  But it adds to the angst of the story and she did manage to wrap it up to my personal satisfaction.  The heart does what the heart wants to do.  Truthfully, there's so much that could be said about this book but I don't want to spoil anything for the readers.

It's a well written second chance love.  Great plot and the pacing was just perfect.  I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward for more from this author.

This is the second book in the Wicked White series.  Although I prefer to read books that belong to a series in order for better understanding and enjoyment.  But I didn't feel like I was missing any valuable information from the first book.  It can be read as a standalone.  It's told in a dual POV that goes back and forth 5 years prior and to the present.  It as an HEA with an awesome epilogue that left me breathless.  I recommend reading this book.
